Please exercise fireworks safety during this Forth of July Holiday Weekend! For firework safety tips check out this information from the NFPA!
Smoke and CO alarms save lives! Dont Leave Your Home Without One!
A working smoke alarm can increase your chance of survival in a fire by 50%! Change the battery in your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms every six months during daylight savings time and test them once a month! The Omaha Fire Department will have fire trucks install Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms for FREE with no cost to the city! Every fire truck is responsible for a designated area of the city or Fire Managment Zone (FMZ). Call the Public Education Bureau at 444-3560 and we will assign the fire truck in your zone to contact you to arrange an appointment!
